High School - Prix D’Excellence
Awards
L’Union Française, the oldest Franco-American society in New Orleans dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the French language and culture, recognizes exceptional achievement in the French language by high school students in the New Orleans area.
At the end of each school year we present an award, the Prix d’Excellence, to students selected by the members of each high school’s French department based on the following criteria:
1. The student has been enrolled in a French language program for at least three years,
2. The student demonstrates an enthusiasm for and interest in the language and culture of France,
3. The student excels in the study of French with emphasis on oral communication.
The Prix d’Excellence awards are presented to the students during the respective schools’ awards ceremony or commencement exercises at the end of the school year.
