Spring Social 2019

Our Spring Social took place on March 24 at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum and was attended by 36 members and guests.  Liz Williams, founder of the museum, held a cooking demonstration of Creole jambalaya and Bananas Foster in which she explained the French influence on Louisiana cuisine.  Next, during a tour of the museum, Williams pointed out various displays illustrating some culinary and cultural traditions that tied France to New Orleans, particularly in her explanations of coffee and absinthe.  Following the tour, a delicious luncheon was served accompanied by French wines.
